My Review Of “Heart Shot Grand Prix”
Fernando “Jay” Huerto’s filmmaking formula has improved highly over the years, distinctly familiarizing himself with all aspects of the craft from acting and physical performance, to camerawork, editing, scriptwriting and an evolving artistic vision. In addition to this, he has embraced the craft fully well in making multiple kinds of films, namely the sub-genre known as the “kung-fu comedy”, a brand of film that has become widely popularized through the evolution of Jackie Chan’s career from Hong Kong to the US. However, so as to not say Jay is strictly a kung-fu comedy filmmaker, Huerto does combine his own unique flavor to create a platform befitting for a short story that is full of action, kinetics, spontaneity, and a small amount of sentimental fortitude to leave audiences caring.
